JMILUG organized Wikipedia Introductory session with the help of CSIJMI and Wikimedia-India-Delhi group. The session was informative as well as interactive. Nitika Tondon & Subhashish working as consultanst in Wikimedia were speaker in the session. They told students facts regarding different wiki projects like Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia, etc. Approximately 30 Students of different branches of Faculty of Engg. & Tech. Jamia Millia Islamia attended this session. At the end of the session students cleared their doubts regarding wikipedia.

Jmilug organized an event on 10 september'11 regarding Introduction about open source.Thanks to our alumni Mr. saleem ansari, Mr.shamail tayyab, Ms.Anjuman Bhatt and Mr.Eeshaan Sharma for taking the workshop.

Durig the workshop students were given the idea about open source and linux, their initiation, the FOSS community and the future with Open Source.Many other general topics were also discussed in the workshop and students were made aware about the future with open source.

A seminar on “Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) in Higher Education and Research” will be held in Guwahati University, on December 3. The seminar will be organised jointly between Guwahati University and NRCFOSS (National Resoirce Centre for Free/Open Source Software) Chennai is mainly meant to create awareness of FOSS and its value and relevance to the Indian acacdemic and research community. The occasion would also be used to see how NRCFOSS can support the participating universities and colleges in introducing FOSS into their curricula for the benefit of the students.

Team of Individuals in Robotics Lab,IIT Delhi is working in area of Human Computer Interaction, Precisely in field of Virtual Reality towards some products.
