I had always been fascinated by computers since I was in school, so I learnt a lot about them. In school itself I had made my mind to join a computer degree course. When I joined engineering course at F/o Engg. & Tech. in the year 2003, I was very excited and restless, as I knew I would do what I dreamed of - learn about computers. I read about C programming language and its history, which led me towards UNIX. I wanted to see what UINX is like and feel how it is linked to the C programming language. I wondered where could I get some practical experience of a UNIX system.
